This
list is of ratepayers for 1750 in the "Church Council Book 1711,"
the churchwardens' |
accounts
CRO DDP 120/5/1. See the article Lelant ratepayers 1722 which is the same for
that
year. The rates were? collected for
repairing the church and other related works and |
expenditure.
The spelling is often eccentric. The edges of the pages are damaged and lost.
Names
repeated in the book are repeated here as I cannot be sure they refer to the
same person. |

Four Lelanters |
There
are four entries in the list of ratepayers which probably refer to dead
Lelanters. |
Sedwell
Pearce's land is mentioned in the 1722 list. |

Entries with + |
Henry Pearce |
The
entry reads "Henry Pearce Taylor."?
I have assumed that the surname is Pearce and that Taylor is a |
job description. |
Symond
Thomas |
This
is the word order of the entry and I assume Symond is therefore his forename. |
Clement Uren |
The
entry for the forename reads ...ment with the first part lost. I have assumed
Clement. |
